As of 17th June 2025, the New Zealand Government is bringing in some major new rules around vaping products. These changes are aimed at reducing youth vaping and tightening up how products can be advertised and sold — both online and in-store.

At Jock’s Vapes, we’re here to help you make sense of it all. We’ll keep doing what we’ve always done — giving you good service, good products, and no runaround. Here’s what’s changing:

1. Product Images and Displays Are Going Away

From June, websites won’t be allowed to show pictures of vape products. General retailers won’t be able to show products in-store at all. Specialist vape stores like ours can still display products inside, but they can’t be visible from the outside.

It might make things feel a bit different when you’re browsing, but don’t worry — we’ll still be here to answer questions and help you choose what’s right.

2. Discounts and Loyalty Perks Are Ending

Unfortunately, all discounts, giveaways, and loyalty points have to stop under the new rules. But the good news is, we've dropped our pricing. So check it out.

3. Disposable Vapes Are Being Phased Out

Any vape that can’t be recharged or refilled will be banned from sale in New Zealand after June 17th. If you’re currently using disposables, this is the time to look at switching to something more sustainable and compliant.

What Won’t Change

The law’s changing, but our service isn’t. You’ll still get:
